Project Bedroom

Beginning October 24th I decided to take my room through a transformation. I've lived in this space for thirteen years, I figured it was time for a change.

A few days later I painted "the accent wall." If I get to choose, I'd want a French accent, but this is just a dark blue wall.

A few days after that I made it over to the second wall of painting. As you can see, the color is much lighter than the first. I actually ended up painting this particular wall exactly four times before it was finished.

As you can see, it was drying somewhat unevenly. I wouldn't stand for it. I figured if I was going to go through the trouble of painting it, I wanted it to look great damnit.

Please notice the hideous line - a direct result of cheap paint.
The moral of that story: DON'T BUY CHEAP PAINT.

Several days later I got the better paint and voila, it looks good.

Then the third wall. Please noticed the shelves were still up at this point.

All four walls are painted here.

Then the ceiling. I needed to take the fan blades off and remove the cover and I went over the ceiling twice with paint.

A few more touch ups and then to put everything back together...

It took a while, but on November 26th I finally put my room back in functioning order,
and this is the result.
