My bologna has a first name, it's O B A M A...

I was just listening to the BBC news on my way home from school today. 90% of what they reported was about how many people died in which countries. I find that offensive.
43+ killed in a natural disaster in a South American country.
50 people killed by a Taliban suicide bomber on a bus somewhere in the Middle East.
240 people killed in a fire in another European country at a night club.
And guess what, our president, Mr. President Obama wants to crack down on gun owner laws in Colorado because 12 people were shot and killed by a guy in a movie theater
Come on, now. I understand those were 12 innocent victims, but what about the 50, or the 240?
What is going on here?
Why is that what makes the news?
It reminds me of some perverse video game of whose country is winning in getting the most hits. It's like some machine that is imploding on itself. It's destructing from the inside out. And somehow the solution is more guns, war, and control by the Federal Government. It's like they are the handicapped sibling that we just make excuses for acting out instead of holding them accountable when they flat out lie to our faces.

It really bugs me that is what the President of the United States is focused on. I heard the other day he was starting this enormous initiative to study how the brain works so that they can start to cure disease. Well, whoopdeedo. That's just great, but it's none of his business. For the love of Pete. Our country is Billions of dollars in debt and Mr. President wants to teach people about how to manage their finances. The gall after going on vacation and golfing trip after another, to say that people who make more money should pay more taxes.

I was listening to a talk radio host talk about ObamaCare and how it is so massive that no one person knows everything that is going on in it. He was predicting that going to the doctor for care is going to become an extremely complicated mess of a thing to do because of all the bureaucracy and red tape.

But what gets me, what really gets to me, is that there are many, many people in America that sincerely believe the federal government is not doing enough for the American people. In fact, the government should do more. Really? Really?

I am in the minority, but I want them to do less, but the American Federal Government is like this enormous mind that doesn't know when or how to stop. It just keeps going even when it isn't managing what it already has going on. I single the President out simply because he is the figurehead and makes a lot of speeches and stuff. He's the Staring Actor in the Federal Government Show, and the script is being written by the innumerable bureaucrats supporting him - the show is like watching some asinine reality tv show. They aren't actors, there is no plot, there is no point except to create more drama going nowhere.
Though I know there are people who would argue that they are all doing what they are doing with good intentions, but that's not true because whatever they do is backed by force. That's coercion, and it's maddening that they do it in the name of good intentions.

I wonder what would happen if the news stopped reporting what Obama did and said. What if they stopped reporting the deaths and disasters. What if they focused on people doing positive things moving the world forward? Like the Avatar Courses, or yoga classes or even theater programs like the one I am in that is actually helping people live better lives? What if they looked for happy people doing things they loved and only reported on them?

And the Government needs to mind its own freakn' business, protecting people's rights and freedoms, their opportunity to expand and create good things in the world.

Rant over.

PS.
A message from someone who has done more research, has more experience, and is more eloquent and logical than I.

And for the love of God,
watch Doctor Who.
