The more I learn the less I know.
I seem aware of a microcosm of space,
The space between a nucleus and its orbiting counterparts.
I am an ignorant little fool,
Who thinks she knows something,
When, in reality, all she has is the ability to sting-
Like a beastly little yellow jacket
attacking the passerby
With only enough energy to make them hurt
for a while.
I know how to belittle others
and squash their minds with mine.
I jerk the rug out from under their feet
and laugh at them on the way down.
I know less than a fish
and I expect they process very little
in their little bobbing brains.
I have the gravity of a mocking bird,
and the force and frailty of a butterfly,
with the manipulative ability of a rat.
Perhaps, one day, I will catch on.
