Fasting, School, and Caves

At the beginning of the year my church had a forty day fast. I fasted bloging. Let me tell you, it was hard. I think I was becoming a little too dependent on it. I have found that people are much more interesting in person, but there are certain things that people will write but may not say. So that is why I haven't posted in a while... Well, you really haven't missed much over the past month. Mostly all I have been doing is school and mock trial, which by the way, takes up the majority of my time. We had our first regionals competition last Thursday. We won the points but the other team won the verdict. Unfortunately, we were up against another home school team. Our next trials are a week from today and tomorrow.
We get a week off from our K*** classes. The only problem with that is that it is harder to budget my time when I have more of it. I have 2 weeks to get 1 week's worth of homework done, and besides that, our Latin and literature assignments are larger than normal, which doesn't help either.
There is about 3 inches of snow on the ground and in the trees. I was talking with a friend from New Hampshire the other day and I asked her if they had a lot of snow. She said not as much as she would like, only about a couple of feet. I just thought that was kind of funny, but maybe you would've had to have been there. The boys just left to go sledding on the golf course. I would kind of like to have gone, but I as I mentioned before I have homework to do. I know I would've had fun it's just the getting all wet and cold is rather uncomfortable.
Speaking of being wet and cold, I went caving on Saturday. I went with 4 of my brothers, 1 of their guy friends and 3 sisters we met about a week or so ago. It was a blast! We inched through the pancake room, stomped through shin-high water, sloshed through about 12 inches of slimy, cold, penetrating water. We slid over smooth hills of firm mud and climbed over rough, rocky crevices. We lowered ourselves over 12 foot-hanging rocks and climbed back up the same. We threw muddy sand balls at each other and tried to keep our noses clean. Everyone was in good spirits and needless to say, we had a really fun time. We were in the cave about 4 hours. When we got out the summer sausage and cheese tasted really good, even the old, cold chicken wings weren't too bad. It was an awesome trip.

I've been caving once, and it was great!
