"Here's lookin' at you kid..."

Today was a beautiful day! It is really starting to feel like spring. I don't have time to be posting right now, should be doing a dozen of different other things.
Nothing much has happened lately. Just school mostly. All kinds of things are getting ready to happen though. I'm going to start working. Prom is coming soon. I need to get a dress. I'm going to be taking ballroom dancing lessons this summer. I am really looking forward to it. K*** classes will be over in about 8 weeks. I am so glad about that! I'm also going to be in a Shakespeare play this summer as well. Don't know what part yet though, going to audition next month, which isn't too far away.
I watched Casablanca the other night. Hadn't ever seen it before. They just don't make movies like they used to.
We have been looking into getting another dog and the other day we went to the pound. We found a dog that we liked so we filled out an application for her. Then the woman at the desk asked about our fence because it was not completely enclosed and then she asked how our last dog died. After we told she acted like she didn't want to give us the dog. She said they were concerned because they want the dog to go to the best home. (No, they want a perfect home.) She said as we were leaving that they want their dogs to live the rest of their lives with their owners. Well, duh honey, if the dog dies because it was dumb enough to get in the road it still lived the rest of it’s life with it's owner. It lived until it died; it's not that difficult. Good grief. Bleh. All we were trying to do was save a dog from going to the slaughter house and they act like we don't care about our dogs b/c we don't lock them up in little pin to run around in circles the rest of it's life. Besides we live down a hill away form the road about a half a mile with two houses and several fences in between. It’s ridiculous is what it is. Oh well, when Momma gets back from her trip we are going to call around to the ads in the newspaper.
Anyway, dirty laundry and homework are calling my name so I must go.

looks like you've got an awesome summer lined up! and good luck with the dog - you'd think they'd be handing the dogs at the pound out right and left to save the poor darlings, but i suppose not. if they don't find the perfect home, then they'll let them go to the slaughter house.

keep us updated on the new pet! :-) And the audition!

What Play are you doing this time, I belive you were great, and should have no problem getting a part.
Sometimes the pound can get dumb, but they want to make sure the animals dont show up back in the system. If only they knew how much you care for them.
