I decided to write about my experience of a Mock Trial competition we had recently. It was very interesting. I was really worried how we would do leading up to the competition. I wasn't sure if we had practiced enough as a team. It turned out all right though because we ended up doing pretty well. There was some really stiff competition. I think it is a good warm up for the real thing coming up in a week or so. I'm looking forward to it very much. I went to this past competition to have fun and that is exactly what I did. In spite of the challenges we faced within our team and with out. It is gratifying to know you did your best. That's all anyone can ask for. I am thankful for the opportunity to compete under any circumstances.
The trials were interesting. It was challenging to see how the judges would rule on certain objections and how the other team would respond to them as well.
I just want to say I am so cottonpickn' proud of all the home school teams! They all did an awesome job and I am proud to be of their number. (If by chance someone of the other teams is reading this, I would also like to thank you for providing competition because without you there would be no Blue Tornado.)
I would like to send out a special thanks to my team for all the work they put into their parts. I'm so glad I was able to be a part of your team.
After the competition we had a really fun time. We went out to eat and then just hung out downtown. I had a blast! I love those people. It thrills me that I am able to spend time with them and witness their amazing talent.
On to Regionals!
