So far so good

I should stop writing such long posts. I doubt anyone ever reads all of them. Either shorten them or make them more engaging. Enough with that...
My summer has been good so far. I'm not quite sure where to begin; there is a lot to recap. I went to Riverbend several times this year. That was new and different. Saw the fireworks on Saturday evening. Very nice. A friend of mine left for Iraq a week ago today. I think he is in Texas right now. I've been working at a couple of horse barns, cleaning stalls and grooming. I've also started back taking lessons. I've been working at the daylily garden this year too. Lots to be done there.
THANK YOU GOD! It is finally raining today. We need it so very badly. I almost forgot what it looked like. I think it is queer though. We complain when we don't get enough rain but then we also complain when we get too much rain. We sure are hard to please. Overall the weather has been really weird this year so far. First, the winter wasn't that cold and spring seemed to come early. Then it got REALLY cold and killed everything. Then it finally warmed up again but it hasn't rained hardly at all.
Now I have been offered a new job working with horses down in Georgia. It's a long drive but if we can work it out I think it will be worth my time. I hope so anyway. I went there this morning. I've been getting up a lot earlier these past couple of days. It makes a world of difference when you stay up late in how well you function the next day or not.
Here I go again writing a long post. Must stop now. Need sleep. Going to take nap. ZZzzzz...
